i love giving gifts.
for my birthday (in december), ross signed both of us up for a soap making class at this cute little soap and candle shop in south park. the class wasnt until the end of january, but i waited patiently. The class was awesome, only ross and i and one other, slightly awkward in a way i dont have the words to describe couple were at the class. by the way, my vocabulary is becoming as poor as my memory, actually, that's a lie, its been improving since ive been writing more, on here and in my journal! write write write vanessa do it fuck you ms parry (deep seeded hatred). on another note my ability to become sidetracked is just as apparent as ever. onward! the soap we made had to set for at least 4 weeks! 4 WEEKS! who knew. i surely didnt. 5-6 makes it even harder, and better! so now, in march, more than 2 months after my birthday, i have amazing handmade with love soap to use to scrub my body. the soap i made has tea tree oil, sea kelp, grapefruit, and rose petals. the soap ross made has orange and coffee grinds, and some sage, and maybe oatmeal? those are the primary ingredients and oils. we each made a large block which we cut into smaller soap bar like shapes. there are about 14 of them all together, and since i only have 2 weeks worth of showering left, i thought id share these lovely soaps with others. and of course still have plenty for when i return home to new york. plus, i now have the knowledge to make tons more soap. without burning my face off of course, thank you very much. i threw a few friendship bracelets into my soap packaging's because im 10 years old and love my friends.
