tonight i went to roller derby practice with my friend bernadette. i was thinking maybe id join up because its something ive always wanted to try. the skating part is super fun. i got the hang of it pretty quickly and didnt fall once the whole time! im not sure about the actual roller derby part though. i think that being on a team doesnt interest me. its not that im not into sports. well actually im not really into sports at all. ive played soccer and softball and tennis. all of these were many years ago. all of these were also much more fun when things werent serious and i was just playing in my backyard with my brother or dad, or with a friend. its the being on a team which doesnt really interest me. i just cant get into being serious about sports. or caring if we win or lose. or having any team spirit. because of this i question whether i really want to be part of a team. or make any sort of team commitment. ill have to go again before i draw any real conclusions!
