actually its been fixed for a bit of time now, ive just been busy enjoying the way more amazing than usual long island summer!
i love clothes that make me look and feel prepared for any sort of adventure, just in case that casual bike ride to the village turns into a wild quest through uncharted wooden territory to find a hidden grove of apples! or something! slightly fantastical and a bit huck finn. ive been meaning to make a pair of pants like these for quite some time now and i have finally succeeded! tapered and fitted trousers with a classic khaki feel to them. these pants are a perfect shade of army fatigue green, its hard to tell in my bedroom lit with artificial light. i found them in a thrift shop in sayville, ny which i havent visited since high school! they were only $1.25! i took them in on both the inner and outer seam, making sure not to make them too skinny, just perfectly fitted to my legs, which i dont think are an easy shape to find pants for. im super excited with how they came out and am going to make another pair (or a few more) in other colors, preferably navy, camel, and burgundy, and also try a pair with pleating. i think knee patches in wool or flannel would look really cool also!
