hmmph.

i am so happy to be back in the northeast for autumn!
last weekend i went upstate, as in, north of manhattan, to go apple picking with my parents! ive been eating quite a lot of apples, we have an abundance.
dressing for cool weather is so much more exciting! cardigans! tights! jackets! boots!
i also had my first pumpkin spice latte which i must say tastes so much more delicious when you dont work for starbucks :)
now that i am back in a climate which actually has seasons, i can get back to knitting! try as i might, i could only knit so many things when the weather doesnt get below 50 degrees more than 2 days out of the year. knitting and san diego just didnt mix for me, mostly because my favorite types of knits are bulky and chunky. its not quite scarf weather yet, but im starting now on some new scarves and cowls and snoods(?, i never knew this word existed, makes descriptions much easier, really) i love being warm in the cold, and wrapping my head and neck and whole upper body in lovely woolly coziness. i cant knit nearly well enough to make anything like these, but ill come up with something. and it will have tassels.
